L-10: Anne Bradford Painting, River 30 with Poplars
Anne was born in England and raised in Canada and the United
States. She moved to New York City in 1970 where she attended various
commercial and fine art classes while working as a studio artist
in advertising and graphic design. She lived there for 12 years
working as a graphic/multimedia designer and painter.
In 1985 she moved to California, first to San Diego, and then
in 1998 to Healdsburg. It was in Southern California that her painting
evolved from abstract form to contemporary realism with a strong
emphasis on nature. The striking flora of the area became an inspiration
to the highly dramatic “imagescapes” that she painted.
Giant agaves, layers of palm fronds or swirling patterns of aloe
were painted along with intense skies and highly contrasted architectural
features, some with layers of sand, to create scenes that were
both imaginary and real.
Since moving to Healdsburg, Anne’s vision has changed,
again, this time to reflect the surrounding environment. Landscapes,
valleys, vineyards, and the Russian River have become the subjects
of her work.

L-11: 1976 MGB Roadster
The MGB was Britain’s best-selling sports car. It was produced
by the British Motor Corporation and sold under the MG marque.
Available in both convertible and coupe, it was launched in May
of 1962 to replace the MGA and produced until October 22, 1980.
A later run of updated MGBs, the RV8, was produced in the 1990s.
The MGB was a relatively modern design at the time of its introduction.
It utilized a unibody structure that reduced both weight and manufacturing
costs as well as adding chassis strength. This was a considerable
improvement in comparison to that of the traditional body-on-frame
construction used on the MGA and T car models as well as the MGB’s
rival, the Triumph TR series. The design included roll-up windows
and a comfortable driver’s compartment.
The MGB out-performed many of its more expensive rivals in both
performance and handling when it was introduced. The MGB’s
performance was relatively brisk (for the period) with a 0 to 60
mph time of just over 11 seconds, largely because of the relatively
light weight of the car. The engine was upgraded in October 1964
to a fivebearing crankshaft in an effort to enhance reliability. |
This car is Tahiti Blue and has a new professionally installed
top. It has been smog checked and registered. It has mileage of
23,000.

Dinner Ring |
From

shine over an extraordinarily beautiful range of color. Aquamarine
is a fascinatingly beautiful gemstone. Women the world over love

or eye color, and creative gemstone designers are inspired by it
as they rarely are by any other gem, which enables them to create
new artistic cuts again and again.
And this one is quite a beauty! It is a lady’s 14k white
gold dinner ring with bright finish weighing almost 18 grams. The
center stone is a medium blue emerald cut aquamarine of 33.69 carats,
surrounded by six accent diamonds. Quite a stunner! Any lady with

L-28: 1947 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet |
| It all started in 1939. Edsel Ford was impressed with
the elegance of post-war European automobile design and wanted to
build an American vehicle that captured that look while utilizing
an American chassis and drive train. The design for the original
1939 Mark I Continental was rendered by Bob Gregorie of the Ford
Motor Co. Design Studio. The hand-formed body was mounted on a modified
Lincoln Zephyr chassis with a V-12 engine. |
 |
In 1947 total production of the Lincoln Continental Convertible
(Cabriolet) was 438 handbuilt units. It is estimated that only 125
have survived, making this an extremely rare and desirable vehicle.
The 1947 model continued the use of Lincoln’s V-12 engine thought
by most owners to be too little power given the Continental’s
curb weight of over two tons. The original owner of this vehicle
decided to commission Andy Granatelli to install one of his new Chrysler
Hemi engines. The Grancor Speed Shop installed the current engine
in 1954. It is estimated that there are fewer than 10,000 miles on
this engine. |
| Total mileage on this vehicle is 55,070 miles. Most
of the blue leather interior is original. The car was repainted at
some time in the past using the original color. The chrome is all
original and in remarkable condition considering 50 years of life.
The convertible top is in excellent condition, and the interior hydraulic-window
lifts work beautifully. The car was completely rewired in 2003 using
a perfect copy of the original wiring loom. The car features the
original whisper-quiet, three-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
A new radiator was installed in 2003 along with a highly efficient
electric fan for additional cooling on very hot days. The original
Wonderbar radio was completely restored by Charles Sigfried in 2004. |
